6:57 am - So Much Joy

 So Mark and I have been together 7 years now. It really doesn't feel that long, but then I think about how long it's been since we even lived in Michigan, and yes, I guess it has been that long.
He took Tuesday off of work, it was supposed to be a surprise, but he let it slip nearly a week before. I made everyone breakfast (3 different ways of making eggs, Omelet, scrambled and overmedium) We also went to the mall and let Anon play around in the childrens area.
I got Mark a few things, - Dead Space (a game), and a beanie that says +15 frost resistant, he got me a digital camcorder, the one postsecrets book I didn't already have (My collection is complete!!), and a 20$ starbucks card - it's nice because I believe they don't charge for soy when you use the card.
He is getting all four of his wisdom teeth pulled Saturday morning, taking Saturday, Sunday, and Monday off from work, so I'm actually excited about him getting them pulled. He works so much it will be a good break for him...even if he is in a vicodin haze the whole time.
Anson climbs everything now - I had to take his bumper padding out of his crib because I was worried he would use it to give him a boost to climb out. He knows no fear. He says a few words - Mama, and dada of course, but also fishy (or ishy) and boogie. It's so sweet.....I plan on starting the potty training thing here in a week or so, so I'm hoping to make the next words poopoo and peepee.
yeah. that is life right now

8:30 am - Indiana goes Blue

I am so proud to be an American right now - and for the first time - proud to be a Hoosier. Indiana went blue for the first time since 1964.
Mark and I proudly voted for Barack Obama yesterday in the great blue state of Indiana.

And yes, I cried when he won, and then again during his speech...
I never thought I would say this but.....I'm now happy that Kerry didn't win 4 years ago....

He is graduating from boot camp! He gets a few days off, then going to training. All I know is that he is doing artillery. I am so proud, and scared, and excited for him at the same time!

8:56 am - Walking
|
Anson and I (and sometimes Daddy) have been taking a walk every day for about the past week now. Yesterday was hell - walked for an hour or so, then I get home and realize I've locked myself out of the apartment - Yippie. Good thing it's an apartment as I was able to walk to the office and get another key, but still...I was so freakin' tired and hot at that point, it sucked.
I cut and dyed my hair yesterday as well, I needed a change.
Today I don't think we'll go for a walk, it's muggy and it's supposed to rain, seeing as how Anson screams bloody murder every time we have to go through a sprinkler, I don't think it's a good idea.

8:22 am - Audio and Sarah

Our friends Audio and Sarah came to visit last weekend. It was nice, and the first time they had seen Anson. We had fun, watched Guys and Dolls - a documentary on real dolls and the men who love them, played some guitar hero, it was nice to be around adults....it was good.
It was unbelievable how good Anson was - so sweet and smiling. Right after they left he got the crank..heh. But his first tooth has emerged, so he has an excuse for it.

11:39 am - Week-end?

It's so freakin' hot, right now we have a tornado watch - yippie. I usually love a good storm, but when Marks not home, it's kinda scary knowing if a tornado is coming I have to get me and Anson somewhere safe. We are in an apartment, upper floor, so either the bathroom (no windows, in the middle of the apartment) or under the enclosed stairs (all inside, sturdy....but I would have to pass a LOT of HUGE windows to get there)
I over think things I think....maybe....

So we made a big purchase today - our new, and first non-hand me down sofa! Yay! I love it. The picture I have here makes the colors look funny. It will be delivered next Wednesday, then I will get better pictures.
And Anson now says "mama" for SURE - proof is in the video.

9:03 am - 365 - Day 38 - Virgo Belly Dancer Do Over

So I redid one of my Zodiac Belly Dancer girls - Virgo, because I wasn't happy with the original. Now, I feel like the series in complete. I am moving on to other things, but don't be surprised if I redo a few more zodiac dancers over the years. We'll see. You can see her on my website.
In Baby News: Anson is on the verge of crawling, and is always babbling - today he said mama....but I don't know if he knows what it meant (even though I am always saying things like "mamas here", or "mama loves you") - it did make me smile and hug him. He still has no teeth, which I, as a nursing mom, am happy about.

9:32 pm - 354 - Day 36 - With My little Love

This weekend is a "Super Daddy weekend" - Mark goes back to work Monday. I always get so damned lazy on the weekends. Letting Mark get up to get Anson in the morning - I nurse him then Mark lets me sleep for a few more hours. And in those hours he picks up the apartment. I really slack off on the weekends. Mark picks up that slack.....I loves him so much.
In other news we caved and got GTA4 - We always heard about GTA games, but never even played one. We knew they were - bad - but I never knew how bad until now. Hookers, Strippers, car jacking, execution shots. Bad, and super addictive. But I figure we might as well play these kinds of games now, while Anson is still young and doesn't understand any of it.

So, Mark and I pre-ordered MGS4 and got the beta code for MGSonline. He's been playing it a LOT. It's really fun. I love that it's free. It neat to see how the new metal gear solid controls work. Mark is getting better at the head shots. I think it's neat because it kind of prepares him for the game. I haven't played too much as I think I suck...bad. But I will play the actual game when it comes out, I just want to know what's going on with the story.
Anson wants the playstation controller - bad. If Mark is playing he always reaches for it. That and the psp - he wants to eat them so bad. I wish there was a baby toy that looked like the psp or playstation controller. He would love it.

So, where did the lovely weather go? It's all crappy out now.
Belly Dance class went well. I'm going again this week, less anxious.
Anyone else watch "Carrier" on PBS? I'm addicted to it - they are filming on a aircraft carrier, following the lives of some Navy people, it is really, really good. I could never, ever, ever do what they do.

8:03 pm - Sisters Birthday

Today was my sisters birthday so, my mother and I went shopping with her. I spent way too much on new clothes, so did they - and it was fun. I really did enjoy myself. They are some of the peoples I can really be myself around - let the silly Lacy come out and shine. Also, because Anson stayed home with Daddy I was able to let my hair down - no pony tail for me - wow, I didn't realize how long it had gotten in these past 6 months. Still, no hair cut for me - I want it to get to my knees, then perhaps I will cut it back and donate to locks of love.

Green, Orange, Yellow - oh the colors of baby poo. Yes, it's the baby poop post. Anson poop is all colors now that I have introduced him to green beans, peas, carrots and sweet potatoes. I was lucky up until now his poop didn't stink, and it was easy to clean up - because I breastfeed. Now I know when he has done his doodie not by the grunts, but by the smell coming from his diaper. And don't even get me started on the textures.....Yippie.
.......rethinking this whole solid foods thing.

I think I've got it!
I've been cooking every single night (woot), and last night I made Pork Adobo and Crab Cakes. The Adobo turned out PERFECT! Of course the rice cooker really helped out tremendously with the rice. But I am proud that - without even looking for a recipe, I got the vinegar/water/soy sauce mixture perfect. I can now really, really say I can make pork adobo!
Yay!

Our friend Mark P. is freakin' awesome. Without even a hint that he was doing it - he sent us along an awesome moogle poster! That made for an awesome suprise from Mr. Fedex Saturday morning. I am IN LOVE with it, and cannot wait to get it framed and put it up in Ansons Moogle/Chocobo nursery. Now, I have no idea how he did it - but here is a close up so you can truly appreciate the greatness of it.....
Amazing right? It almost looks like he printed out Moogles and cut them out, and put them on there one by one - it is a moogle made of moogles.....i love it!

So, Mark is playing Assassins creed. He is almost at the end. I'm bad, I read the whole ending and everything at gamefaqs. I figure I'm not playing it, and I don't plan on it. I won't tell him how it ends so..... Anyway it seems a bit repetitive, but the story is good. It was really glitchy - freezing a LOT, but then a patch came out and it hasn't frozen since.
I am really excited about Metal Gear and Soul Calibur. Until them I'm just playing Super Street Fighter Puzzle Turbo...or whatever it's called. We downloaded it from the playstation network along with some other games. Although I've already beaten it on extreme mode, so....
Yeah, Anson is doomed.

Mark went with Paul to the Final Fantasy concert in Chicago tonight. I stayed home with Anson. I just couldn't bare leaving him with anyone for that long - being that far away from him. I would not have enjoyed myself, I know it. But I know Mark deserves it - he deserves a night out, and he loves video game music more than anyone I have ever known. So, I really do hope he enjoys himself tonight.
Plus Anson is still coughing here and there, and I still feel like crap. I actually think I pulled some kind of muscle in my groin area - when I cough, sneeze, or even use that muscle it feels like it is going to pop out of my stomach - very painful - if it doesn't go away or get better in a week, I am going to see a doctor.
As for Anson and I, we will be enjoying a quite night alone.
